June in Santa Barbara: What I'm Looking Forward To

And just like that, it's June! My lord! School is wrapping up, graduation season is here, summer is starting, and the calendar is filling up with all the things that make Santa Barbara such a special place to live.

There's a lot going on - family-friendly events, date night ideas, or just an excuse to get outside... here's a few things happening around town this month:

World Ocean Day at the Sea Center

June 6

If you have little ones, this is a good one. The Sea Center on Stearns Wharf is offering free admission for World Ocean Day. Touch tanks, sharks, hands-on exhibits, and maybe stop by the ice cream spot after.

Summer Solstice Festival & Parade

June 19–21

One of Santa Barbara's most iconic weekends. Colorful costumes, music, dancing, local vendors, and lots of community spirit. Even if you don't make the parade, the festival is worth stopping by at Alameda Park.

Santa Barbara Wine + Food Festival

June 27

An afternoon of local wine, great food, and one of the prettiest venues in town at the Natural History Museum. Hope to see you there!

Concerts at the Santa Barbara Bowl

A few shows coming through this month:

  • Black Keys
  • Bob Dylan
  • James Taylor
  • Royel Otis (July)
  • Young the Giant (July)

Even if it's not an artist you know, there's something special about a summer evening at the Bowl. (But I am sure you all know that!)

Happy June! We'll be soaking up all the June fun around town - baby in the pouch, toddler in tow! :)
